Nashville Reception Photo Booth - Wedlock Images

Have you heard the news?  The New Wedding Trend for 2011 happens to be a blast from the past! But unlike the traditional set- up, Wedlock Images has given the old party favorite a face-lift. According to The Knot, a nationally recognized publication for wedding information, adding a photo booth to a wedding reception is one of 10 ways to add a “wow factor” to the event.  Our Photo Booth comes with costumes and props, and with a click of a button your guest can take unlimited high quality professional photos! Simple, easy, and often HILARIOUS!

Traditional Photo Booth rentals in the Nashville area can be pretty costly. It’s best to do your homework to see what company works best for you.  With Wedlock Images, our Photo Booth is included in our top two wedding photography packages or can be added to any of our services as an “a la cart” option for just $300.  We offer reception Photo Booth services in NashvilleBirmingham, Louisville, Memphis, KnoxvilleSt. Louis and Atlanta.

Nashville Wedding Photographer- Wedlock Images Contest Winner!

Congrats to Ashley and Quinn for winning our “Free Photography” contest!  With over 550 unique votes, Ashley and Quinn took the lead by over 300 votes! Good job guys and congratulations!

Be sure to check out the previous blog for more photos and details on the contest! Ashley and Quinn wanted a vintage inspired engagement shoot incorporating old photos from their grandparents wedding. We decided to shoot in a quaint little town called Nolensville. With so many cute vintage nooks, this historic community gave us that old school feel we were looking for.

Ginny and Chris suggested an engagement shoot on Nashville's famous Shelby Bridge! This historic pedestrian bridge offered great lighting, an amazing city view and if you're not careful... CRAZY winds! We got some great shots with the wind blowing through Ginny's hair. When the wind became unbearable, we discovered a cool little area right off the bridge with beautiful textures and YES, the heart on the wall was already there. =)  Scroll down and check it out!

Nashville Wedding Photographer - Free Wedding Photography

Back in October, Wedlock Images launched their “Free Wedding Photography” contest to all Nashville couples getting married in 2011!  We had 7 competing contestants total.  Each contestant posted their How We First Met” story on Wedlock Images Facebook page and worked super hard to get friends and family to vote for their story by posting comments on our page or by simply clicking “like” on their favorite post.  We had no idea we’d have soooo many votes to count.

First of all, we’d like to send a special thanks to all our contestants for their participation and all the voters for their support!  The contest was a HUGE success with over 1,000 voters!

We narrowed our contestants down to the top two runner-ups.  Each runner-up received a free mini engagement shoot and engagement image disc valued at $550.00.  All participants are eligible to receive 25% off any Wedlock Image wedding package.  That’s $500 dollars in discounts!!

The winner will receive free wedding day coverage from Wedlock Images valued at $1900!! Let’s just say somebody’s parents will be VERY happy.

Let’s meet our runner ups.  Listed in NO particular order.

Meet Ginny and Chris
Q: How did you two first meet?

Ginny: “I was on my way to my mom’s with my dog when I saw a sharp little sports car that I‘d never seen before. I sped up to see what the driver looked like, expecting an old man. I was wrong. We exchanged smiles and took the same exit. With one lane between us he said nice dog and asked if I liked coffee. Not thinking I blurted out the truth and said, NO. As someone pulled up between us I heard him say Starbucks. While at my mom’s I decided to find Starbucks. On my 2nd Starbucks parking lot I saw the pretty little sports car. I got out and started to walk in and thought what in the world was I thinking. I turned around and headed back to my car to call my best friend. Of course she told me to go for it, so I put a note on his car and gave him my number. Five minutes later I got a phone call and we set up a time to meet that night. For me it was love at first sight however for him it took a little longer. Four years later, no sports car but a diamond ring!!”

Meet Ashley and Quinn
Q: How did you two first meet?

Ashley: “I first met my Fiance 8 years ago when I was 15 and he was 20. We met at church and both of our families had just moved here from Florida...his from Miami and mine from Orlando. It was weird that both families had moved to a random area of TN from such big cities in Florida! At first, of course because I was so young nothing was there except for a friendship. I have always looked up to Quinn and thought he was such an amazing person! Hearing his stories of coaching young kids and being a leader in the Boys and Girls club made be think so highly of him. He was always around at church. He helped in the youth group and played drums in the band. As the years went by, I went to college and was away for a while. Quinn was back home and working full time as well as starting the process of becoming a metro police officer. We talked on and off when I came home. Later, I had just come out of a really bad relationship and for some reason the first person I called was Quinn. After I talked to him there was just something there and I felt completely different about him. We started talking and the rest is history. A little over 2 years now...he is a police officer and I am a teacher. Our friendship has grown and we are getting married in May of 2011. I am the luckiest girl to soon be his wife and apart of his amazing family. I am truly blessed! No one ever would have guess that we would have ended up together. Things always happen for a reason and I can truly say that I am going to marry my best friend!”

Congrats to these two lucky couples! Now, stay tuned for the winner right after theses messages. =)

Matt & Gloria - Alabama Engagement Photography

We'll be shooting Matt and Gloria's wedding in Austin, Tx this December and decided to meet in the middle to do their engagement shoot.  Since Gloria attended the University of Alabama, it seemed like a good place to meet and a perfect setting for an Autumn inspired theme.  The campus its self is filled with historic architecture and great photo ops around every corner.  Luckily the rain stopped for a few hours and allowed us to do our thing.  We can't wait for the wedding between this fun loving couple and look forward to capturing their happy day.

(Sneak Peek) - University of Alabama Engagement Photos

Here's a sneak peek of Gloria and Matt's engagement shoot.  These guys were so much fun and really knew how to work the camera.  We couldn't have asked for a better setting for a Fall themed photo shoot.  Located on the historic University of Alabama campus (Roll Tide Roll), there were colors and textures everywhere we turned. I'm having a blast going through and editing these photos and just wanted to post a few to give every one a glimpse into what's to come.  Stay tuned for the rest.

"Lieutenant da-yon ICE CREAM" ~Gump 1994

Howdy Yall! It's Spring time in beautiful Music City and you know what that means? Yup, wedding session is approaching and love is in the air. This past weekend we were busy busy busy working with Andrea and David, owners of Birmingham's Urban Cookhouse. In addition to planning for this upcoming wedding session, we are also working closely with Urban Cookhouse as their graphic designer. Urban Cookhouse will be opening in June 2010!

Saturday was such a beautiful day that we decided to take a break from branding and go "GEO CACHING". Our first time doing it and I must say... it was quite interesting. Not sure if we're hooked, but we might try it out again.

The evening ended with Andrea's need for a cake batter, sugar sprinkled, oh my goodness that's some sweet cream ice cream. So, we swung by Cold Stone Creamery for a few scoops of sinful goodness. Later that night  Donice, Andrea, and T-Pain wrote a song about the day.

Our move to Nashville and Launching of WEDLOCK IMAGES website!!

Hello everyone!  So we finally took the plunge and landed in beautiful Music City.  Loaded up a 26 foot Penske truck w/ a tow dolly for the car and drove 14 hours straight through to Nashville with a pit stop in Roanoke to see Scotts sister and brother in law.  Mmmm Applebees... The actual drive from Baltimore is actually about 10 to 11 hours. Long, but BEAUTIFUL drive.

Our new community is gorgeous and we're really impressed with the cost of living in ole Nashville.  I feel like the Jeffersons in the sense that we"moved on up" we're actually paying much less for our 3br home than we were for our 846 square foot apartment in Baltimore. We've only been here for about two weeks and we've already met some GREAT contacts in music AND photography, some of which live right here in our community.  For those of you who don't know, I (Donice) am the lead singer/songwriter for the band Fall Back Plan.  While working alongside my Scotty as an assistant and second shooter, I also spend much of my time writing songs and touring with my band.  Aside from the girl on 65 who gave me the finger when I switched lanes, seems like the people here are genuinely very friendly. The city itself is very clean and full of exciting things to do.

So the moment has finally come, the moment you've all been impatiently waiting for is finally here...and with a long dramatic reality show pause.... we are pleased to announce that we have officially launched www.wedlockimages.com!  While our headquarters will be based in Nashville, we will still offer services in Baltimore as well as Atlanta and Birmingham.

We hope that our blog will inspire our past clients and friends to keep in touch as well as invite new clients to join the Wedlock Images family! =) We're looking forward to networking and meeting the folk in our new town of Nashville Tennessee.
